Jan. 2nd is right around the corner and Im suppose to be getting one of my molars pulled. This molar is....?

broken in fragments and down in the gum. The dentist told me that he would have no problem pulling it. I am really nervous and scared. I have heard so many horror stories abut the needles and stuff that Im just freaked out. I have no pain tolerance what so ever. Which is what made me go to the dentist in the first place. I have a huge fear of needles. Are the injections really that bad? Do all dentist use the numbing cream before injecting you? Is it true about all the crackling noises that you hear? About how long does something like this take? I just want to be in and out of there. This is my first time being in the dentist chair and I am just freaking out. Can anybody offer any advice on this matter to help calm my nerves?
