Question about leather jackets and lead dye?

I was thrilled to finally get my very own leather biker jacket, but a little startled to read on the tag, "This product contains ingredients known to the State of California to cause cancer". I ume this relates to the lead containing dyes used in leather tanning. So I'm wondering, is there any real risk of catching lead poisoning from wearing a leather jacket?
